How to run it
- Swimmers choose a stroke.
- Swim continuously at an easy pace for a set time or distance.
- Change stroke at each wall if they want.
- Finish with a slow breathing float.
Teaching cues
- Easy pace.
- Long and smooth.
- Breathe calmly.
Make it easier
- Shorter time.
- Float to rest allowed.
Make it harder
- Longer time with a technique focus.
- Bilateral breathing throughout.
Common faults
- Racing each other.
Corrections
- 'You should be able to talk at this pace.'

- Supervise one lane and keep swimmers spaced out.
