Safety notes
- Keep delivery routes separate so boats don't collide.
What it develops
- Travel about 10 metres on the front
- Kick on the front and back
How to run it
- Each swimmer places a toy on their float.
- Holding the back of the float, they kick to the far side to deliver the toy.
- If it falls off, they collect it and carry on.
- Return and pick up another delivery.
Teaching cues
- Arms long, float flat.
- Kick from your hips.
- Smooth driving – no wobbles.
Make it easier
- Shorter delivery route.
- Walk and push instead of kicking.
Make it harder
- Face in and blow bubbles while kicking.
- Longer route with a turn around a cone or noodle.
Common faults
- Pushing the float down so the toy slides off.
- Kicking with bent knees.
Corrections
- 'Hold the float like a tray of drinks.'
- 'Straight legs, floppy feet.'
Assistant / L1 role
- Stand at the delivery point and reload toys onto floats so swimmers can keep moving.
